So, I was talking about the bad endings for School Days with Mikey after him pestering me to cosplay as Kotonoha. He told me some of the endings that he liked, and vice versa. Some of the endings he referred to, that I would only know, I have never gotten myself. He also mentioned a detail about a bridge from the ending I DID get, and I didn’t remember it clearly having a bridge. From that, it sparked the curiosity to see if the endings were posted on YouTube… which I wasn’t sure would’ve been, due to how explicit they were. To my surprise, they were on YouTube– who would’ve thought.

Anyways, here’s the ending that I got.

Wikipedia desc. : Sekai and Makoto are in love. Kotonoha overhears Makoto and Sekai loudly making love to each other, which in turn emotionally destroys her. The next day as they leave the train station where the three always take, they meet Kotonoha on an overpass beside the station. There is an awkward moment as Sekai lets go of Makoto’s arm, greeting her. Kotonoha says a few words, before revealing the saw hidden behind her school bag and swipes it beside Sekai’s neck. After a few seconds of realizing what had just happened, Sekai suddenly bleeds like a spray and collapses in a pool of blood, with Kotonoha laughing hysterically, her eyes revealing that she has completely broken down.

By far, this is probably the most famous ending. I don’t blame it.

It’s these sort of games that frustrate me the most, and yet I enjoy them over the other light-hearted galge I’ve played over the years. Both School Days and KGNE… It’s always the girls I go after like Sekai and Mitsuki that frustrate me the most, then I ultimately end up hurting the girl my character initially fell in love with in the beginning of the game. Then, after it all ends, I then realized that I liked the girl I ended up hurting more than the one I went after. Is it guilt? I don’t know, because the feelings normally stay strong, even past the ending.

But though I like Kotonoha, it seems that all the endings where SHE is hurt, is the most beautiful. Something about her sorrow, pain, and suffering is just beautiful to watch, as sadistic as it sounds.

My favorite ending, 永遠に.

Wikipedia Desc. : Sekai and Makoto are in love and decide to confront Kotonoha and tell her about it. Kotonoha handles it very badly, even begging Makoto to “Please Love me. I beg you.”Afterwards she quietly accepts. As Sekai and Makoto leave the apartment, Kotonoha’s phone falls and shatters on the floor. They then witness Kotonoha jumping off the ledge of the apartment, landing head first on the pavement. The epilogue shows Makoto in front of Kotonoha’s grave: he broke up with Sekai, finished high school and is now working with his mom. He has never had a girlfriend since.

You know, I’m not exactly sure how I can describe the reason why this is my favorite ending. Out of all the 3 bad endings, it’s this one that left the strongest emotional impression on me. The pause before Kotonoha’s head hitting the pavement, and her expression, just leaves me speechless. To me, it wasn’t so much as sad, as it was beautiful.

Last, but not least… Mikey’s ending. It was also a very sad one, and it’s your character that dies. I’m not going to post the videos, but I’ll at least put up the links. It’s divided into 3 parts on YouTube.

It’s these sort of games… that are best when they end in disaster.

Though I cannot directly relate, they remind me of what had happened to me in high school. I had a crush on a boy, and gave up on him because I saw no chance of us getting together. I became friends with him and his other friend, let my feelings pass, and I fell in love with his friend instead. I went out with his friend, and our relationship ended up in abuse, disaster, and overall tragedy, ironically.. leaving him for the person I initially was in love with.

That chapter in my life, as vague as I had typed it… will always be crystal clear to me. I’ll always remember it, even though it doesn’t hurt me now. It’s a memory.

Anyways… just 4 more days until Aniki returns from Boston. I’d went to my bathroom to wash my hands and face, only to see that my eyes were red and puffy from crying. I tried to keep my spirits up and I tried to do things to keep my mind off it… but I really do miss him. That feeling when you’re sad– the back of your neck becomes tense, there’s this deep pressure in your chest, and it becomes difficult to breathe from time to time… This feeling is becoming harder and harder to ignore.

God damn it, I miss him so much…

Talking to Mikey always makes me feel better, though… Always. Despite the fact that he has feelings for me, he always makes me feel comfortable and finds a way to cheer me up. I don’t know why talking to him always makes me so happy. A lot of people say I’m reserved… and to some extent, it’s true. I really don’t like talking about my problems, all the time. I don’t like talking about them, completely, when I do, too. My boyfriend shows signs of him feeling me being reserved… Mikey says I’m reserved, even Andrew says I’m reserved. I’m already aware that I don’t talk to Brandon about my feelings, either.

The words “I love you”… I take them very seriously, if said by the right person. I normally share these words exclusively to my Aniki, but there are times when I want to say it to Mikey, but not in the same context– like how some guys sort of hug their friends and say “Ah, I love ya man!” only more sentimental. I can’t exactly do that, since I’m a girl. I know it’ll be interpretted the wrong way, and I know it hurts him… A lot of things I say hurt him, it seems. I try so hard not to, and yet I do… Out of all the people other than my boyfriend who have confessed to me, it’s Mikey’s whose feelings are most mutual with mine, only… I value our friendship, and I can only see him as my close friend and no more. I’m already in love with my Aniki, and it will stay that way. It’s the feeling that I’m hurting my friend that frustrates me the most. Mikey frustrates me.

Saa… Kodomo no Jikan. The Western name bestowed upon this gem was called “Nymphet”– a term created in Nobokov’s book, Lolita, describing attractive prepubescent girls. The manga is basically about a promiscuous loli, named Rin Kokonoe, that constantly badgers her adult teacher for his love. She’s extremely mischeivious, and she has the ability to trick adults into performing lecherous actions on her and getting them in trouble. (Omg, that’s awesome!) From what it seems, she’s pretty much a tsundere. Typical, right? Despite that, I can’t help but to like her character. I love her pigtails, too– she can hold them as if they were just soft tassels of fabric. They’re pretty adorable once you see them around in the manga… swaying back in forth, in the air, being held, and hanging down from her head– it’s all too moe for me to handle. I’m feeling like quite the lolicon myself reading this manga.

What really kills me is when she gets into her… dere dere side of her character. Sometimes it’s all too cute, and in other times, it’s sort of saddening… but in a way where your pity eventually becomes a sort of respect for her. Characters in this manga, as young as they are, seem much more mature than they should be. They complain and bicker about things people that age don’t care about until they’re years older… but then again, how many loli elementary school girls would be flirtatious, attractive, sexually mischeivious girls?

Another cool little tidbit that has been going around is that Seven Seas Entertainment, a manga liscencing company, as cancelled their release of the English adaption of the manga, due to it’s explicit relationships between the characters being innappropriate to American audiences.

The manga had been licensed by Los Angeles-based company Seven Seas Entertainment for distribution in the English language in 2006, and the first manga had been slated for an early 2007 release. The English trade name was chosen to be Nymphet after the original artist requested the title and demanded its use for the English manga.^[2] The title, however, soon became the center of a controversy on whether it should be appropriate for American audiences to view due to a article made by Anime News Network’s “Answerman”. Jason DeAngelis, the president of Seven Seas Entertainment, wrote in a statement that, “Specifically, those who are speaking out against Nymphet seem to be disturbed by the relationship between two characters in the story, namely an elementary school student and her adult teacher.” DeAngelis decided to delay the title so that he could “have an open dialogue with the large book chains and other vendors.”^[3] The manga was subsequently cancelled due to these concerns. DeAngelis said that “‘…it’s not appropriate for Seven Seas to publish Nymphet,’ and that it would cancel its release of the manga.”^[1]

In a second statement regarding Nymphet DeAngelis explained some of the reasoning behind the series’ cancellation. He stated that, “my primary reason for canceling Nymphet is due to my recent realization that later volumes in the series can not be considered appropriate for the US market by any reasonable standard.” However, another reason given was that, “[the vendors] began dropping their orders left and right, so their opinion on this matter became pretty clear cut.”^[4]

Specifically, DeAngelis said that he went back and re-reviewed the later volumes of Kodomo no Jikan and discovered content that he regarded as highly unsuitable for publication. The specific pages mentioned showed a scene of the main characters, Rin Kokonoe and Daisuke Aoki, stuck in a room with freezing temperatures. Rin hugs Aoki to try and stay warm, and in the process accidentally rubs Aoki’s crotch, who gets an involuntary erection. The anime community responded with outrage, stating that DeAngelis was attempting to find an excuse to placate the anime community, as the scene showed nothing more than a normal male reaction that is often involuntary, while DeAngelis’s statement implied that he saw disturbing content that could not be published.^[5]

On June 7, 2007, Kaworu Watashiya posted a blog entry on Kodomo no Jikan’s controversy in the United States.^[6] Watashiya commented that, “what I heard about ‘issues in volume 2 and later’ made me realize the differences in the cultures between the countries.”^[5] The author went on to cite instances in later volumes that showed intimate relationships between cousins and a bath scene with a child and adult, going on to say that, “my honest feeling is, ‘It’s unfortunate, but what can I do?’”^[5]

Hehe… it’s just that damn hot. I can’t wait for the anime.

I have to admit, this is a very pretty-looking PVC. This is a character titled “Fantaz Moon” from Type-Moon’s artbook, Character Material. It resembles Arc appearance-wise, and is wearing a dress resembling the dress Arc’s character wears, only shorter. The character sports a nicely detailed pole-arm, and from what it seems… it’s overall pretty well-sculpted. I could live without it, but I wouldn’t mind owning this piece at all.

Being a former Nakoruru fan, I thought it’d be nice to mention this PVC in my next PVC entry. Though, as much as her attire and hair are well depicted, the way her face was sculpted really irks me. Something about it just doesn’t owe up to the rest of the PVC– sorry. Otherwise, I probably would’ve bought this piece. I really do like the shading in the fabric, though.

Uguuuu~ Naturally, it’s the wings that really caught my attention. There are several Ayu PVCs that I liked, but they all generally look the same. Though Ayu isn’t my favorite character from the game, she pretty much represents Kanon. Despite that, though… I do like Ayu. The other PVC that I had my eyes on, she had some taiyaki. This one she has wings. Oh, how do I choose?! Though, Max Factory did not choose a good shade of yellow to paint her jacket with. They should’ve gone with a shade learning towards a beige hue. The nice pink tint in the wings work pretty well, though. I wonder how it’d work out if they were a light blue, instead.

Though I am not completely familiar with the game… it looks like it’s pretty generic when it comes to eroge. Despite that, though, I’m somwhat interested. The anime (ero) adaption has a pretty high rating, so I might check it out. The pose the figure is sculpted in is very attractive, and… so is the box. If I do end up getting it, it’d probably be the most erotic PVC I would own. I tend not to purchase PVCs that aren’t conservative enough to show to your parents, but something about this PVC really makes me like it… other than the extremely pretty box-art. I recall having a few images of this series, but that’s as far as my fandom goes.

*Drool* Ruri… in a nightgown. This is a freaking 1/5 scale resin statue, meaning it is VERY EXPENSIVE! This is one hot PVC. Not only is it Ruri, or the fact that she’s in a nightgown… nor the fact that she’s in a very sexy pose, along with showing a good amount of skin without exposing way too much…. It’s her twin-tails. Her sexy… sexy twin-tails. I absolutely love them– they’re painted in a beautiful shade of blue, and they rest around her body in gentle, relaxed curls. My god. The only reason I won’t get this is because it costs over $200 dollars, and that it’s pretty much sold out. … But I want it so bad. +___+

One of my best friends, Andrew had said, “You know, it does seem like he has been gone for a long time…” and I can’t help but to agree…

I sort of indulged myself in typing entries in this blog, where probably only a few will read, and a even lesser few who will bother to comment. I’ve written about 5 or 6 entries over the course of 2 days, whether it be of Anime, PVCs, games, or… just my personal feelings.

Aniki paid about $10 for internet, today, so we had some chance to talk privately over AIM. We shared some laughs and had a good conversation… He was much more attentive in our conversation than he normally is, but I suppose that’s how it gets when your time is more limited. Talking to him was like a breath of fresh air… I certainly missed talking to him, even though it was only for a little while. He showed me some of his journal entries to keep me updated on how he is. So far, he seems pretty agitated for being on this trip, but I hope it eventually turns out well. I trust him not to fool around with any other girls while we’re away, too, but I can’t help but to be a teensy bit worried. ^^; His voice is soothing, though. Listening to him talk over the phone after our AIM conversation overwhelmed me with happiness. I wish we could’ve talked longer, but his cellphone minutes are very limited. We talked about missing each other, being excited for our reuinion, what we’re going to do when he comes back, anime and stuff… I can’t wait to get another phone call from him.

I met one of his childhood friends from Boston, over AIM. She is supposedly a very immature bratty /b/-tard, but from what she seems so far… I like her. I don’t know how extensive her knowledge of anime and general otaku-ism is, but she at least knows what Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu and Lucky Star are, due to their popularity. It’s no shocker, but you’d be surprised how many people who claim to be anime-fans, aren’t aware of the series. (No kidding.) It was quite impressive that she was aware of who Hirano Aya is, seeing as she gave me the impression that she was merely a /b/tard that recently got out of the Narutard phase. Another thing that impressed me was that her AIM SN was based off a Gakuen Alice character, Hyuuga Natsume. I hadn’t recognized it at first, since I didn’t care much for the character. (Hotaru > Natsume, not into shota kthnxbai.) One last thing that had impressed me was that she was familiar with the Suzumiya Haruhi no Gekisou poster that came with May’s edition of NewType. That’s about it, though. I think I was only impressed because I put pretty low expectations for the girl, but despite the good impression I personally had of her, she’s still an immature 13 year old that kicks my boyfriend while he’s eating, throwing balls of paper at his head when he’s playing videogames, and taking pictures of him threatening to put them up on 4chan… Oh well. At least we had a pretty good conversation, despite me being overly aggressive about nagging her to show me a picture of her. She has no photo of her face, completely, but from what it seems, she looks rather cute for someone her age. (I hope Aniki isn’t taking an interest for her.) He says she looks “okay”, but I think that’s just him not admitting that she’s cute. Despite that though, it seems that he hates her personality. They get along fine, online, though… but not in person.

I tried going to sleep, but somehow thinking about Aniki just wouldn’t let me. I couldn’t sleep at all. I’d hug my giant frog plushie as much as I could, but it just wasn’t enough to satisfy me, knowing I wouldn’t be seeing Aniki for another 4 days… It just wouldn’t leave my mind, so I got out of bed, and came back to my computer to type this blog.

To my surprise, when I got on, Mikey was online! I was happy to see that he was there, and his news to me was that he bought me the Max Factory Pachira PVC that I wanted! Oh gosh, next to the phone call Aniki gave me, this just made me day very bright. I’ll admit it, and I hope it doesn’t sound too shallow… but this seriously made my week a whole lot better. I’m really grateful to Mikey for this… and I’ll cherish this PVC, just as I cherish the Ruu PVC my Aniki had bought me.

So there are a lot of things that keep me happy, though Aniki is gone… Thinking about him makes me happy, my friends make me happy… To be honest, Mikey giving me a gift made me realize, this is the first gift I’ve gotten from someone other than my boyfriend or parents in a LOOOONG time. These things just made me smile… but despite all those happy thoughts and feelings, the void of Aniki not being here still remains…

I seriously miss him… my Aniki.

Level of Want: HAVE IT! OMG.

Pachira from Renkin San-kyuu Magical Poka~n, voiced by… HIRANO AYA. -Drool.- This PVC isn’t quite gothic lolita– more visual kei, but why the heck would I put up a title like “Visual kei PVCs”? “Gosurori” sounds so much better. I love Pachira… Though the official spelling of her name is off, if she was typed as “Pakira”, you can’t help but to think of America’s Latino pop sensation, “Shakira”. Oh my god.

But seriously, Pachira is rather hot. This PVC… is hot. Her pose is just breathtaking in this PVC, and the transparent coffin she’s holding onto? Sheer brilliance. Max Factory seriously outdone themselves on this one.

Mikey said there is a chance that he might be giving my this PVC. As I mentioned earlier, receiving PVCs from those that you love… especially when the PVC is just AWESOME, it means so much more to me, rather than just a shallow relationship between me and a brilliantly-made PVC for aesthetic purposes. This PVC is orgasmic– I’d appreciate it a lot if he really did. I’d be overwhelmed with happiness. It’d deserve a spot near my computer, just like my favorite Ruu PVC does.

Edit: OMG, YOU’RE KIDDING! Mikey seriously bought me this PVC. @__@ I feel just I predicted that I’d feel, and thensome. Oh my god Mikey, thank you. I’m really happy. ><! That just… totally made the highlight of my bleak Onii-chan-less week. OMG, I CAN’T EVEN… DESCRIBE… HOW HAPPY I AM. -Explodes.-

Type-Moon PVCs… It is sad to say, the only real Type-Moon PVC I own is Saber in a maid uniform, which turned out to be a fake. You really can’t tell in poorly-lit display boxes. Though, as I am disappointed with the only one I own… This PVC is a must-have! Not only am I a BIG BIG BIG fan of Len and Melty Blood, I have NEVER seen an official PVC of her.

It’s pretty cheap, too… about $40? Not bad, for a set of two. I’d spend that much money on just buying one.

This is a set of two 21cm (despite the picture saying 19cm) PVCs made by SEGA. One of Arc, which I’m not AS interested in as Len, but it looks very pretty nonetheless. The other one is Len… standing on a cake. Does that not scream awesome? I love Len. I don’t care who buys this for me, it also deserves a spot next to my computer. I feel like I’m in love.

Suigintou… the most loved character of Rozen Maiden, for a good reason! It seems as if they intentionally outdone Suigintou’s overall character design to give her the triumphant attention that she gets, over all the other dolls within the series. This PVC, made by a company named as “Yujin”, it is highly detailed in both sculpting and painting. There she lays 1/7 scale on an upsidedown cross, maliciously holding a feather in a sadistic-looking glare. God damn, that is hot. Not only is this PVC moe, it’s elegance makes it exceed being just a PVC– it can be admired by those that aren’t even otaku. I want it.

Amano Chiwa from _Summer. I’ve always had a thing for those cute stoic characters in most games, thus the fanboyism over Len. (oh got len is hot) Despite the seifuku, I think her hairstyle, attitude, and the crosses in her hair is enough to consider her somewhat gothic lolita. Those crosses are eyecatching. I would like to own this PVC, though it isn’t necessary. I really like those crosses… Seriously.

This is the prototype PVC of Misamisa of DeathNote by Jun Planning. Though I must admit, PVCs, dolls, and overall merchendise of this series are normally very interesting… not to mention, Misamisa looks quite good in her PVC’s appearance, despite it being only a prototype. Like the others, it’s not completely “gothic lolita” rather than VK, I thought she deserved some mention in this entry… since this PVC kicks so much ass.

Nao from the Korean MMORPG, Mabinogi has her very own PVC by GSC made of her. This PVC has been around for quite a while now, and has been sold by most major PVC distributors. Some people buy it without even knowing what the hell Mabinogi is. Most fans are anticipating the English release of the game online, just as I am. Nao comes complete with her staff, semi-translucent attire, and sexy twin tails. I suppose Nao isn’t quite gothic lolita either… (I’m questioning my title choices, now.) This PVC has such a high rating for me because… well, Nao is just hot. Her bright blue eyes are captivating, and I’m a sucker for both white hair and twintails. My Onii-chan agrees.

So I suppose after typing about all those PVCs… none of them are truly “gothic lolita” other than Len and Suigintou, and Len is just borderlining it, I think. Nonethless, they’re all pretty damn great. If only I could just… afford them all. XD

My “dad” from #anime-toshokan, Wepon (he’s the father of Onii-chan and I, supposedly) had mentioned it and I felt like looking for the program. It was listed on #moe, so I downloaded it. (I’m doing all this at work, too.) I played for a few minutes, watching Konata doing stuff on my screen (all at work) took some screenshots, and decided to type this review.

So this is Konata’s room. (Notice the Mayumi poster there? She also has a Haruhi one next to a bulliten board next to her bed.) She starts off by walking in and dropping off her school bag. There are several exclamation marks in various areas that you can click, and something will happen. From what I’ve done so far, the TV shows “L” from DeathNote on the screen. When you click her closet, her father like… rolls out of it and… walks out of the room. Weird… (Knowing these games, they normally only show the room and the rest outside is like a floaty void off the edge of the earth, so.. anyone who walks ut of the room does just that.) Clicking the computer will make her get up and pick up her DS, which unlocks a little mini-game.

So this is the first game that you unlock. It’s basically a replica of one of those old handheld games where someone throws junk around and you’re supposed to catch it. Pretty simple, but amusing nonetheless– especially when you’re playing as Sebastian. Hehe. The second game is like… a radio, which plays some Lucky Channel clips.

Did I mention that the characters in the game use voice clips from the series?

Eventually, Konata walks out of her house and makes her way to school. It goes in some sort of walking sequence, then taking a really… ridiculous looking bus, which I didn’t bother taking a screenshot of. When she enters the classroom, she bumps into Miyuki and Tsukasa having a “conversation”. (Voice clips!), then Nanako comes into the room and starts a lecture. Afterwards, they show her walking along the desks, finding Konata asleep… whips out a giant fan, and smacks her desk to wake her up. Ahh… kansai people. After that, she walks home, and I close the game because I needed to get back to work for a bit.

Another feature is that as you progress in the game, you acquire accesories to put on Konata. You get a pair of glasses in the beginning of the game, and you bring Nanako’s fan back from school. Yup.

I’ll play a bit more when I get home, to see what else you could get. ^^; I’m rather curious.

From the Fanime BBS, I saw that Gigazine posted some screenshots of the Moetan anime, and it looks pretty good from what it seems– it sure exceeded my expectations, anyway. I have the sudden urge to cosplay Pastel Ink. <3

So, School Days is making a full-fledged TV series! Why not, right? The preview was already a 30 minute animation of the first chapter, and a most of the game contains video cut-scenes as you progress. (Which is why it took like… 10 GB on my computer.) Famous for it’s morbid bad endings, I somehow doubt that’s what they’re going to show in the anime series. Nonetheless, I am anticipating this series.

Mikey normally bugs me into cosplaying as Kotonoha, and I just might, one day. It’d be cool to have people recognize me, but I don’t think the cosplay would be “complete” if I don’t carry around a saw and a splatter of blood or two on the seifuku… but normally, I really wouldn’t want to dirty such a nice cosplay with fake blood.

Zero no Tsukaima ~Futatsuki no Kishi~

Though the series wasn’t as appreciated as it’s Rie Kugimiya romance counterparts such as Shakugan no Shana and Hayate no Gotoku, I really enjoyed the first season. I have about two of their Megami posters up on my wall, and had a teensy crush on Louise. Her moe tsundere-like character got the best of me, just as Shana did. Oh, and her mother is going to premiere on the second season. New characters, and everything. I’m not sure if the plot will survive a whole new season, but I’m going to watch it, regardless.

The other sequel that I wanted to see (not Higurashi 2) is Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan 2! Being somewhat of a fan, I own a couple of the manga, a couple of figurines, and about 2 volumes of its light novel series. I also have the first season of the anime somewhere in my room on CD-R, and I found it quite entertaining. Though their jokes get a bit stale after a while, watching it with company and having a couple of laughs always is fun. Hopefully there will be an increase in their budget for the second season, and it’d be actually a quality series.

The bloomers on the top make this a pretty attractive webpage, don’t you think? I don’t know much about this series, but it really caught my attention. I might be flamed for claiming this, but I guess this can be compared to Comipa with a twist… and loli. Being based off Yonkoma, it is probably pretty light-hearted. I’ll watch something like this when I feel like watching a yonkoma-based series to make me smile… like Lucky☆Star and Hidamari Sketch does. It’d be on my light-hearted anime line-up along with Seto no Hanayome and Hayate no Gotoku!.

This is going to be a good summer for kicking back and watching some anime… <3

Though, it may not be the best or most expensive PVC, but it is clearly my top favorite as of now. Given to me by my Onii-chan, it has a lot of sentimental value, which has shown me getting PVCs that I want from someone I love has this whole new feeling that just overwhelms me. I love my Onii-chan. I love PVCs. See how that goes together very well? Ruu, also being one of our favorite characters from To Heart 2, she deserved a special spot in front of my keyboard so I can see her while I’m at my computer.

There’s a difference between the cheaper $30-$40 PVCs that KOTOBUKIYA makes, from the $60 to $100 ones, but either way, they make aesthetically pleasing PVCs typically. Though the colours of Ruu’s seifuku isn’t exactly right– the bow, rather than being a darker shade, it’s actually lighter and in a different hue. The seifuku top, which was normally a very light pink, it is painted white, instead. Her hair is nicely sculpted, however, it lacks in detail when it comes to painting. Her overall body is sculpted very well– her face, neck, hands, legs, etc… nice skin tone. I love seeing her knee-high stockings wrap around her slender legs, as well. The pose she is in is absolutely wonderful. It captures her character, and aside of it being totally moe, it also has a certain elegance to it as well. The positioning of her hands just finishes it off. Though I have nothing really against it, the platform she comes in is a rather plain, light green one. It doesn’t look all too bad though. My Konomi (seifuku) PVC also comes in an identical platform, only her’s is light blue.

Level of Want: Have it.

Konomi is one of the characters that gives me the most powerful blow of moe, TO MY FACE. Though, the relationship Konomi and I have is rather shallow, I am a big fan of her. This PVC is also a $30-$40 KOTOBUKIYA piece, meaning, it lacks in some detail that other, more expensive PVCs have. Her sakura-petal hair ties aren’t nearly as pink as they should be. They look like tiny manju if anything… I suppose that is sort of cute. XD Her seifuku is painted differently than Ruu’s, if not better. Her seifuku top is actually a light pink, whereas Ruu’s is white. (She’s still my favorite, though.) I really adore how the bow in this one is sculpted. Konomi is put in a rather odd pose in this PVC though… Her legs look uncomfortably placed, even though it’s clear that she’s running. I wondered how she was in that pose, but her foot is actually screwed into the platform. Her face is perfect, though, aside from the lack in detail for the eyes, but it still suffices. Oh yeah uh… her panties are blue.

I’ve been drooling over this Konomi PVC for quite a while, now. I have yet to purchase it, but it’s so lovely… Her body is so nicely sculpted– the pose just sends chills though my spine. The detail on her skin, in the fabric, her hair– even her shoes look pretty darn cool. That’s not all… IT COMES WITH AN INFLATABLE INNER TUBE?! Augh, this PVC just screams moe. It’s one of the higher-end PVCs by this company. There’s quite the difference. Take a look at this.

See the difference, here? The swimsuit Konomi has more detail in her skin and tiny bikini than it does in her seifuku counterpart. The most noticeable thing, though… is her hair. Take a look at it. In her swimsuit (more expensive) version, her hair has detail showing where it parts to tie her pigtails. (And you can’t see in the picture, but she has fingernails in the swimsuit version, but not the seifuku version… but I suppose that’s a given, considering their prices.) Anyways, take a look at the seifuku version’s hair. Though the pigtails details aren’t all too shabby, the back of her head is completely round. It looks really funny, but if you don’t put them together in comparison, it’d probably do okay in most peoples’ eyes. Anywho, the swimsuit version comes with a nice detailed platform, which has sort of a sandy texture to make her seem like she’s in a nice beach setting. Hee~

Last but not least, the KOTOBUKIYA One Coin Grande To Heart 2 Figure Set. (That was a mouthful!) Whoever buys this for me will make me VERY happy. I love this set– especially Konomi, Ruu, and Manaka, here. It looks very well-painted from the photo, and the detail doesn’t look that bad, either, especially when each one of them is doing something different, each in a different setting. KOTOBUKIYA did a very good job on it, though, I dislike the ones of Karin and Tamaki– but then again, I don’t like their characters anyway. I’ve never really seen this set on sale, nor have I ever seen anyone owning it. If anyone finds it at a decent price for me, I might consider getting it.
